FRP Steel Tank Liners
The pictures of the tank shown are of a steel process waste tank at a manufacturing facility in Vermont. Following an inspection preformed by a third party, it was determined that the vessel had approximately 52% metal loss. We were able to save the customer a great deal of time and money by installing a custom FRP liner.
Before:
As shown in the photos we removed the existing build up scale off of the interior of the vessel.
Clean:
We then sand blasted the interior of the vessel down to clean white metal. After we sandblasted the interior to clean “white metal” we then applied a secondary bonding agent or primer that will allow the FRP liner to bond to the steel tank.
New:
We applied a 125 mil FRP liner to protect the vessel shell wall from further corrosion. This process will give the vessel a minimum of ten additional years service life.
